Disruptive Inebriated Passenger Removed From Akasa Air Bengaluru-Delhi Flight Before Takeoff Due to Ruckus.

Bengaluru, October 22, 2025 – An Akasa Air flight scheduled to travel from Bengaluru to Delhi experienced a disruption when an allegedly intoxicated passenger created a disturbance, resulting in the individual being removed from the aircraft before departure.

The incident occurred earlier today, causing a delay for the remaining passengers. According to eyewitnesses, the passenger in question began exhibiting unruly behavior shortly before the plane was scheduled to take off. The specific actions that led to the passenger's removal have not been detailed, but reports suggest the individual was disruptive and potentially belligerent.

Akasa Air staff followed protocol by requesting the individual to deplane. When the passenger failed to comply, local law enforcement was called to assist. The passenger was then escorted off the plane by security personnel without further incident.

"The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew are of utmost importance," said a spokesperson for Akasa Air in a statement released shortly after the event. "We have a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior on board our flights, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for everyone".

The airline has not released the name of the passenger involved. It is also unclear at this time whether the individual faces any charges. Local authorities are investigating the matter.

This incident follows a number of similar occurrences on flights in recent years. In one instance, in April 2023, a passenger on a Delhi to Bengaluru flight was detained after allegedly attempting to open the emergency exit door while intoxicated. In January 2023, two intoxicated passengers were taken into custody after engaging in a brawl with a female crew member on a Delhi-Patna Indigo flight. These events have raised concerns about passenger behavior and the potential risks associated with in-flight disturbances.

The Akasa Air flight eventually departed for Delhi after a delay of approximately one hour. Passengers were re-boarded, and the flight continued without further incident. Akasa Air has apologized for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
