PM Modi Highlights Youth's Crucial Role in Shaping a Developed India at Rozgar Mela.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the youth are playing the "most pivotal" role in building a developed India, addressing the Rozgar Mela via video conference on Friday, October 24, 2025. The event saw the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals across various government departments and organizations.

Modi began by acknowledging the Diwali festivities, noting that receiving appointment letters for permanent jobs amplified the joy for many families. He congratulated the new recruits and their families, emphasizing that their success contributes to the nation's progress. He stated that these appointments represent opportunities to actively participate in nation-building, urging the new recruits to serve citizens with dedication, embodying the spirit of 'Nagarik Devo Bhava'.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government's commitment to youth empowerment as a key driver in building a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) over the past 11 years. He noted that over 1.1 million appointment letters have been distributed through Rozgar Melas, underscoring the government's focus on employment generation. In addition to government jobs, the Prime Minister launched the 'PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana,' aiming to provide employment opportunities to 35 million (3.5 crore) youth.

Furthermore, Modi announced the 'Pratibha Setu Portal,' a new initiative to connect candidates who reached the final stage of the UPSC examination but were not selected, with opportunities in both the public and private sectors. He emphasized that this initiative ensures optimal utilization of the nation's youth talent.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government views India's youth as its greatest asset and is shaping foreign policy to align with their interests. He cited recent international agreements with the UK, European nations, Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada, which are expected to generate new employment opportunities in sectors like AI, fintech, clean energy, startups, and exports.

Modi also highlighted the role of continuous learning and good governance, encouraging appointees to use the i-Got Karmayogi Bharat Platform, where over 1.5 crore government employees are upskilling themselves. He stated that this platform fosters a culture of efficiency and innovation in public service, preparing them to lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, stated that the government is also encouraging private sector employment through initiatives such as "Make in India," aligning with the vision of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The Prime Minister concluded by expressing his faith in India's youth as the torchbearers of a developed nation, stating that India's future will take shape through their efforts. He urged them to work with integrity and contribute to nation-building.
