RM of BTS Teases Upcoming Comeback Album: "The Music Sounds Fantastic!" Signals Promising New Release.

BTS's RM has shared an exciting update regarding the group's highly anticipated comeback album, slated for release in Spring 2026. In a recent interaction with fans on Weverse, the leader of the globally renowned K-pop group revealed that the album is shaping up exceptionally well.

"Above everything," RM stated in his Weverse post, "The music is coming out really well!! Everyone is working hard. Please look forward to it". This message has sent waves of excitement through the ARMY, BTS's dedicated fanbase, who have been eagerly awaiting news of the group's return.

The upcoming album marks BTS's first group record since their 2020 LP, "Be," which was released during the height of the pandemic. It also signifies their first world tour since "Permission to Dance On Stage" wrapped up in 2022. The hiatus saw the members pursuing solo ventures and fulfilling South Korea's mandatory military service. RM himself released solo albums, "Indigo" (2022) and "Right Place, Wrong Person" (2024), during this period.

Adding to the anticipation, RM hinted at a potential release window for the album. During an appearance at W Korea's 'Love Your W' Breast Cancer Awareness event on October 15, 2025, RM mentioned the "end of March" as a possible timeframe. He was joined by bandmates J-Hope and V at the event. When J-Hope playfully suggested they begin dance practice immediately, RM responded that he was already preparing to train seriously, teasing that fans might see the results by the end of March.

RM also provided insights into the album's production process. At the 'Love Your W' event, RM shared that BTS will be preparing music, filming cover photos, and shooting their new music video. Earlier, during a Weverse live, RM mentioned that they had entered the latter half of production after spending two months in Los Angeles working with producers and composers. He added that while recording was yet to happen, they were focused on lyrics and arranging them according to the songs they've created. RM also confirmed that the group will be holding concerts.

The members reunited in July 2025, after Jin and J-Hope completed their military service in 2024, followed by RM, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook in July 2025. Based in Los Angeles, RM shared that he is adjusting to a new rhythm of life while reconnecting with the group's collaborative energy. He described the experience of working with his bandmates again as "strange" but expressed his commitment to making their upcoming project "a kind of beauty". He typically wakes around 10 a.m., exercises, has breakfast, and then spends afternoons and evenings in the studio with BTS, usually from early afternoon until nine at night.

The news of BTS's impending comeback has ignited excitement across social media platforms, with fans eagerly dissecting every detail and expressing their anticipation for the new music. The group's direct communication regarding their schedule has only amplified the buzz, making their Spring 2026 return a highly anticipated event in the music industry.
