Amit Shah: Nitish Kumar's clean image and NDA unity will secure victory in Bihar elections.

Patna, Bihar – As Bihar gears up for the upcoming state elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed strong confidence in the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) victory, highlighting what he sees as a key differentiator between the NDA and its primary opposition, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Shah emphasized that, unlike the RJD, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has not faced any allegations of corruption during his tenure.

Addressing a series of election rallies across the state, Shah credited the NDA government, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, with transforming Bihar by curbing violence, restoring law and order, and ending nepotism. He stated that the NDA has strived to make Bihar free from Naxalism. Shah also took a dig at Lalu Prasad Yadav, claiming that during his rule, heinous crimes were daily occurrences, industries left Bihar, and the state was rendered backward. In contrast, he asserted that under Nitish Kumar's 20-year governance, murders have decreased, robberies have significantly reduced, and there has not been a single heinous crime.

Shah didn't hold back in his criticism of the opposition alliance, accusing them of corruption and nepotism. He argued that while Nitish Kumar aims to advance the sons and daughters of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav is focused on making his son the Chief Minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. Shah questioned whether individuals focused solely on their own children could truly care for the youth of Bihar.

The Home Minister also accused the Congress and RJD of opposing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya for vote-bank politics, suggesting that the people of Bihar would respond appropriately. He criticized the RJD for giving a ticket to Shahabuddin's son from Raghunathpur, alleging it was an attempt to revive an atmosphere of fear in the region. Shah declared that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, no one would be allowed to get away with crime.

Shah contrasted the RJD's candidate selection with the NDA's choice, Anand Mishra, a former Indian Police Service officer who, according to Shah, left a prestigious career to serve Bihar. He claimed that the NDA represents good governance, while the opposition is leading Bihar back to lawlessness.

These statements come amidst a heated political atmosphere in Bihar, with both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan engaging in rallies across the state to woo voters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also campaigned for the NDA, urging voters to deliver a record-breaking victory to the alliance. The RJD, on the other hand, has declared Tejashwi Yadav as the Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial face.

Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, projected a strong showing for the NDA in the upcoming state elections, stating that the people of Bihar know who has done the work. He contrasted the NDA's efforts with the 40 years of Congress rule and Lalu Yadav's 15-year rule.

While the NDA rallies behind Nitish Kumar, there had been some ambiguity regarding his position as Chief Minister if the NDA wins the elections. However, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi have confirmed that the NDA is contesting the Bihar election under Nitish Kumar's leadership.
