Amit Shah on 'Jungle Raj' vs. Development: A Poll Beyond MLA and CM Candidates.

As the Bihar Assembly elections draw near, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has framed the choice before voters as one between development under the NDA and a return to "jungle raj" under the Mahagathbandhan. Addressing rallies in Khagaria, Munger and Nalanda on Saturday, Shah urged the electorate to vote wisely, emphasizing that their decision would determine the future of the state.

Shah asserted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the NDA government has steered Bihar towards development, freeing it from crime and Naxalism. He contrasted this with the tenures of Lalu Prasad Yadav, which he characterized by widespread corruption and scams. Shah accused the RJD supremo of prioritizing the prosperity of his family, while asserting that Nitish Kumar is focused on the overall development of the state.

"This election will decide whether 'jungle raj' will return to Bihar or the state remains on the path of development," Shah declared. He warned that a government led by Lalu Prasad's RJD would bring back "jungle raj", while an NDA government would ensure a developed Bihar that would make its mark across the country.

Shah also targeted the opposition INDIA bloc for opposing the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, asserting that every infiltrator would be detected, have their name removed from the voter list, and be deported. He appealed to voters to support the NDA to ensure that Bihar is rid of every single infiltrator.

Highlighting the achievements of the NDA government, Shah credited it with restoring law and order and curbing violence in Bihar. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for improving India's economy and taking decisive security measures. He promised further action on alleged infiltrators and urged voters to "use your vote wisely".

Countering Shah's claims, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has criticized the Nitish Kumar government for failing on all fronts and claimed that the people of Bihar are seeking change in 2025. He has particularly targeted the government's liquor prohibition policy, calling it a complete failure.

With both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan launching all-out campaigns across the state, the political atmosphere in Bihar is heating up. As the first phase of the Assembly elections approaches, senior leaders from both alliances are intensifying their verbal attacks on key issues such as law and order, unemployment, and development.
