OnePlus 15 India launch: Leaked details reveal powerful Snapdragon chip, stunning display, and massive battery.

The OnePlus 15 is generating buzz as its India launch approaches, with leaks revealing key specifications. While the official launch date remains under wraps, speculation points towards a global debut on November 12, 2025, with an India release potentially following on November 13. An Amazon India microsite has already gone live, hinting at an imminent unveiling and confirming the phone's availability on the platform. The microsite and a landing page on the OnePlus India website suggest "something special" will be announced on October 29, possibly the India launch timeline.

One of the most anticipated features is the inclusion of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. This chipset promises enhanced performance, improved power efficiency, and advanced on-device AI capabilities. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to deliver a 25% increase in single-core workload performance and a 20% increase in multi-core performance. It is built on TSMC's 3nm process, with Oryon CPU cores reaching speeds up to 4.6GHz. The GPU is also expected to be 23% faster and 20% more efficient, with full support for Unreal Engine 5.

The OnePlus 15 is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. While this is a resolution downgrade from the QHD+ displays of previous OnePlus flagships, the company states that it was necessary to achieve the higher refresh rate. OnePlus claims it is not currently possible to have a QHD+ screen running at 165Hz. The display is co-developed with BOE and is said to have a 13% improvement in high brightness mode (HBM) and an 11.8% increase in color accuracy. It's also designed to reduce power consumption by 10% and offer a 30% longer lifespan compared to the previous generation. The bezels are expected to be ultra-slim, measuring just 1.15mm on all sides.

To support the powerful processor and high refresh rate display, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to house a 7,300mAh battery. This is a significant upgrade from the 6,000mAh battery in the OnePlus 13. The phone is expected to support 120W wired Super Flash Charging and 50W wireless Flash Charging.

In terms of design, the OnePlus 15 is expected to have a square-ish camera module on the back, similar to the OnePlus 13s. A new "Sandstorm" color option is also anticipated. The frame is rumored to be made of aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal, making it highly durable. The phone is also expected to have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The OnePlus 15 will debut OnePlus' first in-house camera engine, called DetailMax (or Lumo in China). This means the OnePlus 15 will be the first flagship device without Hasselblad branding since the OnePlus 8 series. The phone is expected to feature a 50MP triple rear camera setup, including a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom (85mm equivalent).

The OnePlus 15 is also expected to include a new Glacier cooling system with a larger vapor chamber and a new Glacier Supercritical Aerogel for thermal insulation. A dedicated G2 gaming network chip for better connectivity while gaming and Android's first "Touch Display Sync" for faster touch response are also rumored.

The price of the 16GB + 512GB variant is rumored to be around £949 in the UK, which is about ₹1,11,000. However, the base model in India is rumored to launch between ₹70,000 and ₹75,000.
