IndiGo has launched its first-ever non-stop service between Mumbai and London Heathrow on October 27, 2025. The daily service is operated on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This marks a significant step in IndiGo's international expansion, connecting two major global financial hubs.
The inaugural flight departed from Mumbai at 2:45 PM and arrived in London Heathrow at 7:20 PM local time. The return flight departs from London at 9:30 PM and arrives in Mumbai at 11:45 AM the following day.
The Mumbai-London route features a dual-class configuration, including standard Economy and IndiGoStretch, the airline's tailored business product. Passengers can enjoy complimentary hot meals and beverages, as well as seatback screens for in-flight entertainment. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in Economy and are complimentary in IndiGoStretch.
Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, expressed his delight at the launch of the direct connectivity between Mumbai and London, highlighting the deep cultural and economic ties between the two cities. He emphasized that this route is more than just a new destination; it is a bridge between cultures, businesses, and families. With the addition of London Heathrow, IndiGo's international network continues to expand. Heathrow becomes IndiGo's 45th international destination, connecting to 90 domestic and 40 international points via codeshares. IndiGo serves over 118 million customers in FY25 with a fleet of 400 aircraft, operating more than 2,200 daily flights. In recent months, IndiGo has also launched flights to Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Manchester, and has resumed services to China.
