Gurugram, Haryana: A six-year-old girl tragically died in an accident in Dhankori village on Tuesday morning after being struck by a tractor and then run over by her school bus. The victim, identified as Yanshika, was a UKG student at Virat International School in Kapriwas, Rewari.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. as Yanshika, dressed in her uniform, was waiting for her school bus. A speeding tractor hit her, causing her to fall onto the road. A school bus coming from the opposite direction then ran over her. According to reports, both the front and rear wheels of the bus crushed the child.
Following the accident, there was chaos and distress at the scene. Yanshika's father, Ravi Kumar, who works in a private company, rushed her to a nearby private hospital. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival, noting that one side of her body was completely crushed.
Yanshika was the eldest of three siblings and her younger sister also attends the same school's nursery. Her mother, Nisha, tearfully recounted how Yanshika was excited to go to school that morning and had said she would show her teacher a star. The family is now in mourning.
The Bिलासपुर police arrived at the scene after receiving news of the accident. According to initial reports, the tractor driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the collision with the girl. Authorities have started an investigation into the incident and are trying to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
The tragic event has raised concerns about road safety in the area, particularly for children waiting for school transportation. Local residents are calling for stricter traffic enforcement and safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
