Sankey Prasad Resigns from Colliers India and Middle East CMD Post: Leadership Transition Announced.

Sankey Prasad has stepped down from his position as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) at Colliers India and Colliers Project Leaders Middle East. This marks the end of his tenure leading the diversified professional services and investment management company in these regions.

Prasad, a veteran with over four decades of experience in the real estate and infrastructure sectors, will now shift his focus towards entrepreneurial pursuits. He also intends to offer strategic support at the board level to clients operating in the real estate and infrastructure domains.

Before his departure, Prasad held a significant leadership role at Colliers. In January 2024, he was appointed as Chairman and Managing Director for India and CMD for Colliers Project Leaders Middle East. As part of this expanded role, he also acquired a stake in Colliers' project management business in the Middle East.

During his time at Colliers, Prasad was instrumental in driving the company's growth and diversification in the Indian market. He founded Synergy Property Development Services, which later became India's largest project management firm. Following Colliers' acquisition of Synergy, Prasad was appointed Chairman & Managing Director for India, leading a team of over 3000 professionals.

John Kenny, Colliers' CEO, Asia Pacific, had previously noted that Prasad's expanded role, incorporating project leadership in the Middle East, would strengthen Colliers' capabilities and relationships in both India and the Middle East. Kenny also praised Prasad's enterprising spirit and his contributions to Colliers' growth in India.

In his earlier expanded role, Prasad collaborated with Yamin Shihab, Vice President, Project Leaders Middle East, to broaden Colliers' brand reach and service delivery for capital projects. He also oversaw the growth of the Colliers' India business alongside CEO Badal Yagnik, who continues to manage day-to-day operations and build scale in India.
