Tej Pratap Yadav's Airport Encounter with Ravi Kishan Ignites Political Buzz and Raises Eyebrows

Patna, November 7, 2025 – A chance encounter at Patna airport between Tej Pratap Yadav, founder of Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) and son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Ravi Kishan, a prominent BJP MP and actor, has ignited a flurry of speculation about potential political realignments in Bihar. The meeting occurred amidst the heated campaigning for the Bihar Assembly elections.

Both leaders were returning from separate campaign activities when they met at the airport. Tej Pratap Yadav had been campaigning for his party's candidates in Gaya, while Ravi Kishan addressed rallies in East Champaran and West Champaran. Journalists quickly surrounded them, curious about the implications of their cordial interaction, especially considering Tej Pratap's past criticism of the BJP-RSS.

Tej Pratap Yadav, who recently launched his own party after being expelled from the RJD, downplayed the meeting, stating that it was their first encounter. He emphasized their shared devotion to Lord Shiva, noting, "Of course, he and I are on the same page when it comes to our devotion to Lord Shiva. Both of us wear the 'tika' on our foreheads".

When questioned about the possibility of aligning with the BJP, Tej Pratap did not provide a direct answer but stated, "I will be with anyone who removes unemployment". He reiterated his commitment to supporting any coalition that forms the next government in Bihar, contingent upon fulfilling certain conditions focused on development and job creation.

Ravi Kishan responded to queries about praise for Yadav from senior BJP leaders, saying, "It is his heart that is earning people's praise". He further added fuel to the speculation by stating, "Anything can happen. BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi keep doors open for all devotees of Bholenath, who are devoted to selfless service and not in politics because of a personal agenda". Kishan avoided commenting on Yadav's expulsion from the RJD, emphasizing the wisdom of the Bihar electorate to discern right from wrong. He highlighted the BJP's openness to those dedicated to selfless service. "In the BJP, all are Shiva devotees -- even our Prime Minister. For those whose goal is service, the BJP's doors are always open," Kishan said.

The interaction has triggered intense speculation within political circles in Patna regarding a potential post-election alliance between Janshakti Janata Dal and the NDA. Tej Pratap is currently contesting the Bihar polls independently from the Mahua Assembly constituency. His remarks about supporting any coalition that addresses unemployment, combined with the friendly exchange with Ravi Kishan, have led many to believe that a realignment could be on the horizon.
