Andhra Pradesh Man, Bitten by Snake, Bites Back, Severing Head and Then Sleeps Next to It.

In a shocking incident in Andhra Pradesh, a man identified as Venkatesh, under the influence of alcohol, retaliated against a venomous snake by biting off its head after being bitten himself. The incident occurred near Chiyyavaram village in the Thottambedu mandal of Tirupati district.

According to local reports, Venkatesh was heavily intoxicated while walking home late on Thursday night when a black krait bit him. Enraged and inebriated, he caught the snake and bit off its head, killing it on the spot. Witnesses described the act as terrifying and unbelievable.

Adding to the bizarre nature of the event, Venkatesh reportedly carried the dead snake home, placed it beside his bed, and went to sleep. Residents expressed disbelief, noting that he seemed unaware of the danger posed by the venom already in his system.

By Friday morning, Venkatesh's condition had deteriorated significantly as the venom spread through his body. His family rushed him to the government area hospital in Srikalahasti, where he received first aid. Due to the severity of his condition, he was then transferred to SVRR Government General Hospital in Tirupati for advanced treatment. Doctors at SVRR confirmed that he is in critical condition and is receiving intensive care. Medical experts warn that the black krait is extremely dangerous, and its venom can be fatal if not treated promptly.

Doctors also noted that alcohol likely impaired Venkatesh's judgment and slowed his reaction to the bite. Biting the snake may have been instinctive, but it did not neutralize the venom already in his bloodstream. Health officials emphasized that snakebites, especially from venomous species, require immediate medical intervention and warned that such reckless actions could prove fatal.

The incident has left the local community shaken, with residents describing the news as unbelievable and horrifying. Many are questioning how such a dangerous act went unreported until the next morning. The incident has sparked concerns about alcohol abuse and a lack of awareness regarding snakebites in the area.
