Patna, Bihar: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari hailed the NDA's victory in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 as "historic". As the NDA crossed the majority mark of 121 seats in the 243-member Assembly, Gadkari expressed his gratitude to the people of Bihar for their unwavering support and trust in the "double-engine" government.
"The way people of Bihar have given support to the NDA is historic," Gadkari stated, attributing the win to the development work carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the past decade. He emphasized that the public has recognized and appreciated the efforts of the NDA government, leading to their resounding victory.
Gadkari specifically thanked the people of Bihar for placing their faith in the NDA's vision for development and progress. He highlighted the benefits of having a "double-engine" government, with aligned administrations at both the state and central levels, working in synergy to accelerate growth and improve the lives of citizens.
Echoing Gadkari's sentiments, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad congratulated the people of Bihar for choosing the path of development. He noted that voters had risen above the boundaries of caste and community to cast their votes, demonstrating a collective desire for progress and a rejection of past governance models. Prasad asserted that the public remembers the "jungle raj" of Lalu Prasad's era and has chosen the NDA's development-oriented approach instead.
The NDA's victory is seen as a testament to the enduring partnership between PM Modi and Nitish Kumar, with voters placing their trust in their combined leadership to maintain the momentum of development. Several leaders expressed confidence that Nitish Kumar would continue as Chief Minister. The election results also signify a setback for dynastic politics, particularly for the RJD and the Congress, which have historically relied on caste-driven strategies. The NDA's victory indicates a lack of public faith in the promises made by Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi.
Gujarat Minister Rivaba Jadeja congratulated the people of Bihar, emphasizing that the NDA's win reflects the strong trust voters have in PM Modi. Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari pointed out that the results demonstrate acceptance of the leadership of both PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar across all communities, including minorities who have chosen development over divisive politics.
The Bihar Assembly Election 2025 witnessed a record turnout of 67.13%, indicating significant public engagement in the democratic process. As the Election Commission of India continues to release the final results, the NDA is poised to form the government and continue its agenda of development and progress in Bihar.
