Riding the wave of the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed jubilant supporters at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Friday, November 14, 2025, declaring that Bihar has ushered in a new political era by embracing the "Mahila-Youth" (M-Y) formula and rejecting the politics of appeasement.
Modi asserted that the people of Bihar have voted for development and prosperity, breaking all previous records. He contrasted the NDA's "Mahila-Youth" focus with what he described as the opposition's appeasement-driven "MY formula," which he suggested catered to specific communities. Without explicitly naming the parties, he alluded to the "Muslim-Yadav" combination that has been a significant factor in Bihar's political landscape. Modi stated that the new "M-Y" represents women and youth, cutting across all religions and castes, and signifies a shift away from the "Jungle Raj" era.
"Some parties formed an appeasement formula of 'MY', but this victory has cemented a new 'MY' combination of Mahila and Youth," Modi proclaimed. He emphasized that Bihar has one of the largest youth populations in the country, and their aspirations have dismantled the old communal politics. Modi congratulated the youth of Bihar for their role in this transformation.
The Prime Minister also lauded the increased participation of women in the elections, which many believe contributed significantly to the NDA's victory. Lovely Anand, a JD(U) MP, echoed this sentiment, stating that women came out in huge numbers to vote for the NDA, recognizing the efforts of Nitish Kumar and PM Modi in promoting Bihar's growth.

He noted that Bihar, once plagued by Maoist terror, witnessed fearless and enthusiastic voting, signifying a significant achievement for democracy.
