In a tragic incident in Kutch, Gujarat, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly killed his live-in partner, who was an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) with the local police. The accused, identified as Dilip Dangchia, surrendered himself at the Anjar Police Station, where the victim, Aruna Natubhai Jadav, was posted.

According to police reports, Aruna and Dilip had been in a live-in relationship since 2021 after connecting on Instagram. On Friday night, a heated argument erupted between the couple at their home in Anjar. The argument escalated, and Dangchia allegedly strangled Jadav to death.

Following the crime, Dangchia went to the Anjar Police Station on Saturday morning and confessed to the murder, surrendering to the officer on duty. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) of Anjar Division, Mukesh Chaudhary, confirmed the details of the incident and stated that an investigation is currently underway.

Initial investigations reveal that both Aruna and Dilip were on leave and had traveled to Ahmedabad for shopping and a short vacation. The Superintendent of Police (Kutch East), Sagar Bagmar, stated that during the argument, Dangchia strangled Aruna. After realizing what he had done, he allegedly attempted suicide by slashing his wrist and drinking phenyl, but he survived.

The incident occurred at their rented house in Gangotri Society in Anjar. Neighbors reported hearing loud arguments between the couple around 11 pm on Friday. Dangchia remained with Jadav's body until Saturday morning before turning himself in.

Police have registered a murder case against Dilip Dangchia under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the murder and examining the couple's relationship for further insights. Aruna Natubhai Jadav was originally from Surendranagar and resided in Gangotri Society-2 in Anjar. Dilip Dangchia is reportedly from a neighboring village.
