The Delhi High Court is scheduled to administer the oath to six new judges on Monday, July 21, 2025, in a ceremony held at 10 am on the high court premises. Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya will administer the oath of office to the new appointees.
The six judges who will be sworn in are Justices V Kameswar Rao, Nitin Wasudeo Sambre, Vivek Chaudhary, Anil Kshetarpal, Arun Kumar Monga, and Om Prakash Shukla. With the addition of these six judges, the total strength of the Delhi High Court will increase to 40.
In January 2025, Justices Ajay Digpaul and Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar were also sworn in as judges of the Delhi High Court, bringing the total strength to 37 at that time. The sanctioned strength of the court is 60. In February 2022, four new judges, Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, and Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain, also took oath, increasing the working strength of the High Court to 34.
