Kapil Sharma's recent visit to Dubai has been a topic of much discussion, especially in light of the recent attack on his restaurant, Kap's Cafe, in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Simultaneously, Honey Singh has revealed details about his collaboration with Kapil Sharma, adding another layer to the story.

Kapil Sharma was in Dubai to begin shooting for his upcoming movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. He posted photos from Dubai on July 19, confirming his arrival and commitment to his professional engagements despite the turmoil surrounding the incident at Kap's Cafe. He shared an Instagram post where he is seen dressed in an embroidered black blazer with matching pants and shirt, with the Burj Khalifa in Abu Dhabi in the background, captioned "Ready to dance. #kiskiskopyaarkaroon2".

Just days prior, on July 9, 2025, Kap's Cafe, which Sharma recently launched with his wife, Ginni Chatrath, was targeted in a shooting incident. An unidentified person fired multiple rounds at the building. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack. The Surrey Police Service responded swiftly to the report of shots fired at around 1:50 a.m.. According to the RCMP, at least eight shots were fired at the café, located in the 8400 block of 120 Street, on the border of Surrey and North Delta. The police are currently investigating the matter, and the motive is yet to be determined. The Surrey Police Service Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team is examining possible connections to other recent incidents of extortion.

Following the shooting, Kapil Sharma's team shared an official statement on Instagram, expressing their shock and heartbreak. The statement read, "We opened Kap's Café with hope of bringing warmth, community and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing the shock but we are not giving up". The post further thanked supporters for their kind words, prayers, and memories shared via DM.

Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi, who is associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), claimed responsibility for the attack. Laddi stated that the attack was motivated by remarks made during The Kapil Sharma Show that he deemed offensive to the Nihang Sikhs. He alleged that a participant on Kapil Sharma's show made humorous remarks about the traditional dress and conduct of Nihang Sikhs, hurting the community's sentiments. Laddi and Toofan Singh, also linked to BKI, claimed responsibility for the firing. BKI is recognized as a terrorist organization by the Canadian government.

Amidst these developments, Honey Singh has revealed that he has composed the title song for Kapil Sharma's upcoming movie, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. This collaboration adds a positive note to the narrative, showcasing the continued professional commitments of both artists. Honey Singh and Kapil Sharma have been seen together at events, sharing a good rapport. This collaboration is not new, as Honey Singh has previously appeared on Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Despite the unfortunate incident at Kap's Cafe, Kapil Sharma has remained committed to his projects and travel schedules. This is reflected in his decision to proceed with the shoot for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 in Dubai. Similarly, Honey Singh is focused on his musical endeavors, including the collaboration with Kapil Sharma.
