The 2024 NHL Entry Draft: A Turning Point

For years, the Islanders were known for trading away draft picks in favor of acquiring established players, leaving their prospect pool depleted. However, the 2024 draft marked a change in approach. With their first pick since 2019, the Islanders selected left wing Cole Eiserman at No. 20 overall.
