PM Kisan 21st Installment: Modi Releases Rs 18,000 Crore for 9 Crore Farmers - Live Updates.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, November 19, 2025, released the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, disbursing Rs 18,000 crore to nearly 9 crore eligible farmers across the nation. The event took place in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where the Prime Minister also inaugurated the South India Natural Farming Summit.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, beneficiary farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. The funds are directly transferred to the farmers' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Since the launch of the PM-KISAN Yojana, the government has released 20 installments, providing financial support to the farmers. The last payout, the 20th installment, was released by PM Modi on August 2, 2025, in which he transferred a total of Rs 20,500 crore via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the accounts of nearly 9.7 crore farmers.

The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in February 2019, aims to supplement the financial needs of land-holding farmers. To receive the benefits of the scheme, farmers must complete their e-KYC, have their bank accounts seeded with their Aadhaar cards, and have their land records registered on the PM Kisan portal. The government has made e-KYC compulsory for every farmer wanting to receive the 21st installment. OTP-based e-KYC is available on the PM Kisan portal, and farmers can contact the nearest CSC centers for biometric-based e-KYC.

Farmers can check their PM Kisan 21st installment status on the official website by entering their mobile number or registration ID. The portal shows details like installment approval, payment processing, bank confirmation, and any errors found during verification.

The beneficiary list for the 21st installment is being updated in phases as states upload verified farmer data to the central server. Farmers can check their updated status on the official PM Kisan portal using their mobile number or registration number. If "FTO Generated and Payment Under Process" appears, it means the installment is already approved and on the way.

The Prime Minister's participation in the South India Natural Farming Summit underscores the government's commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The summit aims to encourage natural farming techniques and create market linkages for farmers adopting these methods.
