The much-anticipated 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme has been released today, November 19, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the funds at an event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Approximately ₹18,000 crore will be disbursed to around 9 crore farmers across the country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The PM-KISAN Yojana aims to provide financial assistance to landholding farmer families across the nation. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. These funds are directly deposited into the farmers' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme has disbursed over ₹3.70 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmer families through 20 installments. The scheme is designed to support farmers in purchasing farm inputs and managing other expenses.
How to Check Your Beneficiary Status:
Farmers can check their PM Kisan 21st installment status through the official website. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Visit the Official PM Kisan Portal: Go to pmkisan.gov.in.
- Access 'Farmers Corner': Find the “Farmers Corner” section on the homepage.
- Select 'Beneficiary Status': Click on the “Beneficiary Status” option.
- Enter Details: Provide the required information, such as your Aadhaar number or bank account number. Alternatively, you can select either your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or registered mobile number.
- Enter Captcha Code: Enter the captcha code exactly as displayed on the screen.
- Get Data: Click on the “Get Data” option to continue.
Your beneficiary details, including farmer's name, payment status, and Aadhaar verification details, will be displayed. The portal will show details like installment approval, payment processing, and bank confirmation.
Alternatively, farmers can check their status using the "Know Your Status (KYS)" feature on the PM-Kisan website, the mobile app, or the Kisan e-Mitra chatbot.
eKYC is Mandatory:
The government has made eKYC mandatory for PM Kisan registered farmers. Farmers can complete their eKYC via OTP through the PM Kisan portal or at the nearest Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Seva Kendras (SSK) via biometric authentication. Face authentication-based e-KYC can also be done using the PM Kisan Mobile App. It is essential to ensure all details are updated to receive installments without delays.
Beneficiary List:
Farmers can verify their name on the official beneficiary list on the PM Kisan website. In the “Farmers Corner” section, click on the “Beneficiary List” option and enter your state, district, sub-district, block, and village to get the list of beneficiaries for that particular village.
If the message “FTO Generated and Payment Under Process” appears, it means the installment is already approved and on its way.
What to Do in Case of Pending Status:
If your payment status is pending, it indicates an incomplete application process. Complete any pending formalities, such as linking your Aadhaar card, PAN card verification, or addressing bank account issues, to become eligible.
The Ministry has advised all beneficiaries to link their registered mobile numbers with Aadhaar to ensure smoother KYC, faster access to the beneficiary list, and real-time SMS updates when the 21st installment is credited. Farmers facing issues during verification should visit their nearest CSC center or Aadhaar office to update their mobile number.
