Realme has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8 Pro, along with a special "Dream Edition," in India on November 20, 2025. The launch marks Realme's entry into the premium smartphone segment, showcasing cutting-edge technology and design. The Realme GT 8 Pro is the second smartphone in India to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, following the OnePlus 15.
Pricing and Availability
The Realme GT 8 Pro is priced at ₹72,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The higher-end variant, featuring 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, is available for ₹78,999. The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, which comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, is priced at ₹79,999. All models will be available for purchase starting November 25 via Flipkart and Realme's official website. Launch offers include bank discounts of up to ₹5,000 and a free Deco set with swappable camera modules for first-time buyers.
Design and Display
The Realme GT 8 Pro boasts a premium design with a paper-like leather back panel made from recycled plastics and textiles. It is available in Diary White and Urban Blue color options. The Dream Edition distinguishes itself with a textured rear panel inspired by Aston Martin, catering to racing enthusiasts.
Both phones feature a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 7000 nits peak brightness. The display offers vibrant colors and enhanced motion clarity, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption. The GT 8 Pro also incorporates a modular design, allowing users to swap between different camera island styles.
Performance and Hardware
At the heart of the Realme GT 8 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm's latest high-end SoC for smartphones. The chip features two fast Oryon Gen 3 Prime Cores with up to 4.6 GHz and six smaller Oryon Gen 3 Performance Cores with up to 3.62 GHz. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 provides a 20% performance boost and up to 35% improved power efficiency compared to its predecessor. The Adreno GPU offers a 23% performance increase and a 20% reduction in power consumption.
The phone is equipped with a 7000mAh battery and supports 120W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Other features include Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual 5G support, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Camera
The Realme GT 8 Pro features a versatile triple-camera system tuned in partnership with Ricoh Imaging. The primary sensor is a 50MP camera, accompanied by a 200MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The camera system supports 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording and offers various Ricoh GR-inspired film tones. The phone also has a switchable camera bump that can be detached and replaced with different styles. The triple 20-bit ISPs capture four times the dynamic range for detailed photos.
Software
The Realme GT 8 Pro is the first phone to run Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. The device also features AI Notify Brief and AI Framing Master with the NEXT AI.
The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition comes with custom software inspired by Aston Martin Racing Green.
