Jim Sarbh embodies JRD Tata in 'Made In India' trailer alongside Naseeruddin Shah's powerful presence.

The first look teaser of "Made In India: A Titan Story," starring Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh, has been released, offering a glimpse into the creation of the iconic Indian watch brand, Titan. The series is directed by Robby Grewal and written by Karan Vyas. It is set to premiere on Amazon MX Player in early 2026.

Naseeruddin Shah plays J.R.D. Tata, and Jim Sarbh portrays Xerxes Desai, the executive who was entrusted with shaping the Titan brand for the Tata Group. The series will depict the journey of Titan, showcasing how an idea transformed into a symbol of national pride. It will explore the challenges and triumphs encountered in building the brand, from boardrooms to factory floors. The show also features Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra in key roles.

The teaser highlights the initial hurdles faced by J.R.D. Tata when Swiss watchmakers rejected him. This rejection led him to task Xerxes Desai with creating a completely Indian-made watch. The series will portray the difficulties Desai and his team faced, including bureaucratic obstacles, skeptical investors, and discouraging rivals.

Naseeruddin Shah shared his thoughts on portraying J.R.D. Tata, emphasizing the privilege and responsibility that comes with depicting a man who combined vision with humanity. He noted the rarity of stories so deeply connected to the making of modern India and highlighted that "Made in India" is about a legacy that continues to inspire. Jim Sarbh added that Xerxes Desai was a visionary who saw possibilities where others doubted. Portraying him allowed Sarbh to explore the conviction required to build something lasting from scratch.

Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, described the series as a tale of enterprise and leadership that not only shaped Titan but also boosted India's confidence on the global stage. The series underscores the idea that, "If we don't create history, then who will?".

"Made in India: A Titan Story" will be available for free streaming on Amazon MX Player, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xstream.
