"Chand Mera Dil" marks the first collaboration between Ananya Panday and Lakshya. The film is directed by Vivek Soni, known for directing "Meenakshi Sundareshwar," which starred Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani. Ananya Panday has expressed her excitement about the film and hopes audiences connect with it.

Karan Johar shared posters of the film on social media, announcing the film will be released in theaters in 2025. The posters feature Ananya and Lakshya in romantic poses. This film is a homecoming for Ananya, Lakshya, and Vivek. Ananya made her film debut with Dharma Productions in 2019 with "Student of the Year 2". Lakshya's debut film was "Kill," also produced by Dharma Productions. Vivek Soni directed "Meenakshi Sundareshwar" for Dharma Productions, which was released on Netflix in 2021.

Lakshya's performance in "Kill" garnered appreciation. Ananya Panday was last seen in "Dream Girl 2" alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in 2023 and has since starred in OTT projects such as "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan," "Call Me Bae," and "CTRL".

The title of the film "Chand Mera Dil" seems to be inspired by the song "Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum" from the 1977 film "Hum Kisise Kum Naheen".
