As 2025 draws to a close, photography enthusiasts in India have reason to be excited. Two highly anticipated flagship smartphones, the OPPO Find X9 series and the Vivo X300 series, are expected to launch in India soon, promising top-tier camera performance. These devices, already unveiled in China, boast impressive camera systems developed in collaboration with renowned optics manufacturers Hasselblad (OPPO) and Zeiss (Vivo).
These upcoming flagships are specifically designed for users who prioritize a powerful and versatile camera system, particularly those seeking advanced zoom capabilities. Both the OPPO Find X9 and Vivo X300 series are expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, making them strong contenders for the title of best camera phone in the Indian market.
Vivo X300 Series: A New Camera Champion?
The Vivo X300 series aims to set a new benchmark in mobile photography, bringing substantial improvements, especially to the Pro models. The Vivo X300 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYT828 primary camera with a large 1/1.2-inch sensor. For zoomed shots, it uses a brand-new 200MP Samsung HPB sensor co-developed with Samsung. The ultrawide camera is a 50MP Samsung JN1. Selfie lovers will appreciate the upgraded front camera, also a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, a considerable step up from the 32MP sensor on the X200 Pro.
The standard X300 also receives a significant camera boost. It features the same 200MP Samsung HPB sensor as the telephoto lens on the X300 Pro for its primary camera. The main wide camera is a 50MP Sony LYT602, and it retains the 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera. The front camera mirrors the X300 Pro, sporting a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor.
Both the X300 Pro and X300 now support teleconverters, a feature previously exclusive to the X200 Ultra.
OPPO Find X9 Series
While details on the OPPO Find X9 series are still emerging, it's confirmed that OPPO collaborated with Hasselblad to fine-tune the camera system. The OPPO Find X9 is expected to feature a triple camera setup with three 50MP lenses.
Other camera-centric phones
The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL features a 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto lens. Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a primary 200MP wide lens, along with 50MP telephoto and ultrawide lenses. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra also boasts a 200MP wide lens in addition to 50MP ultrawide and periscope telephoto lenses.
