Patna, Bihar – In a historic moment for Bihar's political landscape, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state for a record tenth time today. The grand ceremony took place at the iconic Gandhi Maidan in Patna, marking a significant milestone in Kumar's long and influential career.

The event was attended by prominent figures from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda. Chief Ministers from several BJP-ruled states were also present to witness the momentous occasion.

Nitish Kumar's journey in Bihar politics began as a member of Janata Dal, and he was first elected to the State Assembly in 1985. Over the years, he has become a central figure in Bihar's governance, holding the Chief Minister's office multiple times and navigating various political alliances.

The NDA secured a sweeping majority in the recently concluded Bihar elections, winning 202 of the 243 assembly seats. Within the NDA, the BJP won 89 seats, while Kumar's JD(U) secured 85. This decisive mandate paved the way for Kumar to stake his claim to form the next government in the state.

Following the swearing-in of Nitish Kumar, several other leaders also took their oaths as ministers in the new NDA-led cabinet. BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were among the first to be sworn in. Other leaders who took oaths included JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Shravan Kumar, and BJP leaders Mangal Pandey and Dilip Kumar Jaiswal. In total, 26 leaders from JD(U) and BJP were sworn in to be a part of the new NDA Cabinet.

The new Bihar Cabinet is expected to include 16 ministers from the BJP and 14 from JD(U), including the Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar's tenure as Chief Minister has been marked by a focus on development and social justice. He has been credited with improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare in the state. His government has also implemented several schemes aimed at empowering women and marginalized communities.

Kumar's political career has also seen its share of challenges and controversies. He has been known for switching alliances, which has drawn both praise and criticism.
