The series marks the first collaboration between actor Emraan Hashmi and filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, known for his acclaimed thrillers such as Special 26 and Baby. Taskaree is set to premiere on Netflix on January 14, 2026.

Emraan Hashmi takes on the role of Superintendent Arjun Meena, a sharp and observant customs officer determined to dismantle smuggling networks operating through Mumbai International Airport. The teaser reveals the high-pressure environment of airport customs, where every suitcase holds a potential secret and every passenger could be a suspect. The series will explore the challenges faced by law enforcement in their battle against organized crime, power plays, and moral dilemmas.

Neeraj Pandey's Taskaree aims to explore the largely unseen world of Indian customs with authenticity.
