An Indian Army Apache helicopter executed a safe emergency landing on Friday, June 6, 2025, in a field near the Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district. The incident occurred moments after the helicopter took off from Sarsawa Air Force Station for a routine training flight. Pilots detected a technical fault mid-air and responded swiftly, averting a potential disaster.

Both pilots on board are safe, and there were no reports of damage to property or injuries on the ground. The location of the landing was in Jodhebans village, within the Thana Chilkana area of Saharanpur.

In February 2025, a Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed near Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, during a training sortie, although the pilots ejected safely.

The Apache helicopter involved in the Saharanpur landing is a twin-engine attack helicopter known for its advanced technology and combat capabilities.
