Yogi Adityanath rallies Bihar voters, recalling past crimes and warning against a return to 'Jungle Raj'.

‘Jab Bante The, Tab Kate The’: Yogi Fires Up Bihar With Anti-RJD War Cry, Warns Voters About 'Jungle Raj'

As the Bihar Assembly elections enter a crucial phase, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has intensified his campaign, launching a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress alliance, and cautioning voters against a return to what he describes as "Jungle Raj". Adityanath's rallies have drawn significant attention, with his speeches focusing on the alleged misgovernance and corruption during the RJD's previous tenure in Bihar.

Addressing a public meeting in Mohiuddinnagar, Adityanath asserted that the RJD-Congress alliance had turned Bihar into a "jungle raj," marked by an "identity crisis". He accused them of fostering a "kidnapping industry," instigating riots, and orchestrating massacres, suggesting they prioritized personal gain over the welfare of the state. He claimed these parties are trying to manipulate Bihar's youth for political gains.

Adityanath's speeches often invoke memories of the RJD's rule in Bihar, particularly between 1990 and 2005, a period many associate with lawlessness and corruption. He contrasted this with the "good governance" and development ushered in by the NDA government under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar since 2005. Adityanath has urged voters to remember the alleged misrule of the past, encapsulated in his slogan, "Jab bante the, tab kate the," alluding to instances of corruption and stalled progress during the RJD's time in power.

The UP Chief Minister has also criticized the RJD and Congress for allegedly opposing the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He has accused them of creating controversies, such as the one surrounding the Election Commission's order on verifying the identity of women voters in burqas, alleging that they are attempting to allow fake voters.

Adityanath has been a prominent campaigner for the BJP in the Bihar elections, with demand for his rallies coming from almost every important party leader. His focus on Hindutva and his "bulldozer policy," which involves demolishing the properties of criminals, are seen as key factors in attracting Hindu voters. He has also highlighted the cultural ties between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing the shared heritage and commitment of the two states.

In several rallies, Adityanath has suggested renaming Mohiuddinnagar to Mohan Nagar, stating that all traces of slavery need to be eradicated. He drew a parallel to the renaming of Faizabad to Ayodhya and Allahabad to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath has also sharpened his attacks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that Gandhi's campaign for the Mahagathbandhan is a guarantee for the victory of NDA candidates. He has accused the RJD and Congress of insulting prominent figures such as Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Jayaprakash Narayan.

With the first phase of the Bihar elections underway, Adityanath's rallies continue to generate buzz and controversy. His strong anti-RJD rhetoric and warnings against a return to "Jungle Raj" are aimed at consolidating NDA support and swaying undecided voters.
