Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted Friday that the investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack will implicate Pakistan on the global stage. Speaking at the Anti-Terrorism Conference-2025, organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Shah lauded the "complete and successful" probe into the April 22 attack in the Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, where terrorists killed 26 people, mostly tourists, and a pony operator.

Shah stated that the investigation into the Pahalgam attack will be a case study for agencies worldwide. He praised the collaborative efforts of various agencies in investigating the terror network behind both the Pahalgam and Delhi blast cases. He highlighted these investigations as outstanding examples of thorough and meticulous work, going beyond ordinary policing.

According to Shah, the terrorists aimed to disrupt communal harmony and hinder the progress of development and tourism in Kashmir through the Pahalgam attack. He noted that Indian security forces responded effectively, neutralizing all three terrorists based on precise intelligence, sending a strong message to Pakistan. New Delhi has accused Pakistan of supporting the attack, although Islamabad denies these claims.

Shah emphasized the evolving landscape of terrorism, driven by technological advancements and the use of technology in terrorist incidents. He stressed the importance of preparing to counter these challenges and preventing future threats. He announced a new plan for a "360-degree assault on organized crime," integrating databases as a core asset of the "zero-terror policy". He noted that organized crime networks, initially focused on ransom and extortion, can become linked to terror groups when their leaders operate from abroad.

The Home Minister also highlighted India's success in establishing a robust anti-terrorism grid across the country. He mentioned the improved coordination, cooperation, and communication among various platforms, including the DGP Conference, Security Strategy Conference, N-CORD meetings, and the Anti-Terror Conference. Shah unveiled the NIA’s updated crime manual and new databases to aid investigations.
