Daiaphi Lamare, known professionally as Reble, is a 22-year-old rapper from Meghalaya who is making significant waves in the Indian hip-hop scene. Recently, she has gained attention for her work on the soundtrack of the Bollywood action film Dhurandhar, showcasing her dynamic voice and energetic style to a broader audience.
Hailing from the West Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, specifically Nongbah, Reble has been rapping for approximately eight to nine years. Her aim is to represent the Northeast region of India through her music. Her stage name, "Reble," reflects her defiant spirit and refusal to be confined by expectations. As she once stated, "Reble comes from rebellion. I always hated being told what to do".
Reble's musical journey began at a young age. She was drawn to music at the age of five, absorbing sounds from genres like rock, hip-hop, and indie. By the age of ten, she started writing her own rhymes and rapping, searching for her place in the music world. She credits artists like Eminem, André 3000, and The Notorious B.I.G. as major influences, as well as bands like Linkin Park and Red Hot Chili Peppers. These artists inspired her to blend genres and let emotion guide her creative process.
Reble's discography includes singles like "Terror," "Set It Off," and "New Riot". "New Riot," released in October 2025, is a high-voltage, synth-driven anthem that embodies chaos and rage as sources of power. She also contributed to the Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, adding a fresh musical edge to the title track. Her recent work includes rapping in Dhurandhar tracks such as "Run Down the City – Monica" and "Naal Nachna". These tracks are part of a soundtrack that blends classic Bollywood and Punjabi folk tunes with electro and hip-hop elements.
Reble's music emphasizes lyrical and technical skill, but she prioritizes creating songs that connect with people on a deeper level. She was previously known as Daya, and her first collaboration was with Symphonic Movement in 2018. In 2019, she adopted the name Reble with the release of her single "Bad". Dmon has served as her mentor, providing opportunities and shaping her into the artist she is today.
Coming from a region with few female rappers, Reble aims to inspire more women to enter the Indian rap scene. She is open to experimenting with various genres and considers herself a versatile artist. Reble has performed at Spotify's Rap 91 showcase and is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud India 2025. She is also planning a tour in Northeast India.
Reble's contributions to Dhurandhar have placed her before new audiences and solidified her position as a rising force in Indian hip-hop. Her participation in the film's soundtrack, alongside established artists, highlights her growing influence and potential.
