Malti Chahar, who gained fame as a contestant on Bigg Boss 19, has recently shared a shocking experience about facing casting couch early in her career. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Chahar revealed an incident where a director, whom she considered a father figure, allegedly tried to kiss her.

Chahar explained that she was working on a project and had several meetings with the director. After one of the meetings, as she was leaving, she gave the director a side hug, a gesture she considered polite. However, the director then attempted to kiss her on the lips, leaving her stunned. "I froze. I didn't understand what had just happened. I immediately stopped him and never met him again," she stated.

Chahar emphasized that the director was much older, and she had always respected him, viewing him as a father figure. This made the incident even more disturbing and difficult to process. "That incident taught me a lesson - never put anyone on a pedestal. Be cautious of everyone. I never imagined someone of that age could behave like that. I was extremely angry," she said.

Following the incident, Chahar never contacted the director again. The experience significantly impacted her perspective on the industry and the people within it. She also spoke about the darker side of the entertainment world, where actors are often told that it's difficult to get work without compromising their values. She noted that actors can be removed from projects without explanation even after look tests and meetings. She also added that many men try their luck in the industry.

Chahar also shared her views on how one can navigate the casting couch. She advised that women should not fall for sweet talk and should always stay alert. She believes that awareness and establishing strong personal boundaries are crucial. Chahar also mentioned that her upbringing and her father's background in the Indian Air Force instilled a sense of discipline and clarity in her, which helped her handle such situations. She believes her demeanor often deterred people from crossing the line.

Malti Chahar was a wildcard contestant on Bigg Boss 19 and reached the top 6. Gaurav Khanna ultimately won the season. Before her appearance on Bigg Boss, she was already a known personality, and is the sister of Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar.
