Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, is now available on Netflix, having begun streaming on December 16, 2025. This digital debut follows the film's theatrical release during Diwali on October 21, 2025.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat features Harshvardhan Rane as Vikramaditya Bhonsle, an influential politician, and Sonam Bajwa as Adaa Randhawa, a popular actress. The film explores themes of obsessive love, heartbreak, possessiveness, and emotional trauma. The plot revolves around Vikramaditya's growing infatuation with Adaa, which gradually transforms into a dangerous obsession, leading to a clash fueled by power, fear, and unchecked desire.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat generated considerable buzz prior to its release. In May 2025, the first poster was unveiled, showcasing a fiery and emotionally charged preview of the film. The poster depicted Sonam Bajwa holding a lighter to a rose presented by Harshvardhan Rane, hinting at the turbulent emotions within the film's narrative. Harshvardhan Rane described the film as a story exploring "love, hate, and obsessive devotion".
The movie's journey to the screen saw some changes along the way. Originally titled Deewaniyat, the film was renamed Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. The shift coincided with the project's move to Play DMF, under the leadership of Anshul Garg.
Upon its theatrical release, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat received mixed reviews from critics. Despite the critical response, the film was a commercial success, grossing ₹78.99 crore in India and ₹110.28 crore worldwide. Some critics noted that the film, while visually pleasing and supported by strong performances and a soulful soundtrack, relied on familiar tropes. Harshvardhan Rane's performance was often highlighted as a key strength, with his portrayal of a man torn between love and madness being particularly praised. Sonam Bajwa's performance as a strong-willed woman was also commended.
The film's music is composed by John Stewart Eduri with Ariyan Mehedi as well as Nigam Bomzan as the cinematographer. Besides Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, the cast includes Rajesh Khera, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, Shaad Randhawa, and Sachin Khedekar.
