The 2025 KBS Drama Awards ceremony, held on December 31, 2025, at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, celebrated the best of Korean drama from the past year. Hosted by Jang Sung-kyu, Nam Ji-hyun, and Moon Sang-min, the event honored outstanding achievements in KBS dramas.
The grand prize (Daesang) was awarded to Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won for their roles in "For Eagle Brothers". This marks the first Daesang win for both actors at the KBS Drama Awards. Ahn Jae-wook expressed his surprise and gratitude, stating, "I always thought that the Grand Prize was an award that had no connection to me, but this day has come for me as well". Uhm Ji-won added, "I will become an actor who understands the weight of the role and grows even more".
The Top Excellence Awards were presented to Kim Young-kwang and Lee Young-ae for "Walking on Thin Ice," and Lee Tae-ran for "Our Golden Days".
Several actors were recognized with Excellence Awards. In the miniseries category, Ok Taecyeon and Seohyun both received the award for "The First Night with the Duke," while Lee Jun Young won for "Pump Up the Healthy Love," and Jung Zi-so for "Who Is She!". For long-form dramas, Jung Il-woo and Yoon Bak were awarded for "Our Golden Days" and "For Eagle Brothers" respectively. Yoo In-young and Jung In-sun also won Excellence Awards for "For Eagle Brothers" and "Our Golden Days" respectively.
The Best New Actor awards went to Lee Seok-gi ("For Eagle Brothers") and Park Jung Yeon ("Our Golden Days"). Shin Seul-gi ("For Eagle Brothers") was also a recipient of the Best New Actress award.
Several couples were also recognized for their on-screen chemistry with the Best Couple Award. Winners included Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won ("For Eagle Brothers"), Lee Jun-young and Jeong Eun-ji ("Pump Up the Healthy Love"), Ha Seung-ri and Hyun Woo ("Marie and Her Three Daddies"), Yoon Bak and Lee Bom ("For Eagle Brothers"), Jung In-sun and Jung Il-woo ("Our Golden Days"), Seohyun and Taecyeon ("The First Night with the Duke"), and Kim Young-kwang and Lee Young-ae ("Walking on Thin Ice").
"For Eagle Brothers" was a big winner, also garnering awards for Best Supporting Actor for Kim Dong-wan and Park Joon-geum, Best New Actor for Lee Seok Gi and Shin Seul Ki, and Best Writer for Goo Hyun Sook.
The 2025 KBS Drama Awards not only celebrated the talented individuals and outstanding dramas of the year but also served as a reminder of the impact and importance of Korean television in the entertainment landscape. The hosts and recipients also took time to honor the late veteran actor Lee Soon Jae.
