In a tribute to the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, the Royal Mail has unveiled a new collection of stamps featuring iconic characters and imagery from the show. The collection celebrates the series' finale, which aired on New Year's Day in the UK, marking the end of the Hawkins crew's battle against the Upside Down.
The Stranger Things stamp set includes 14 stamps, with ten in the main set showcasing key characters from across all five seasons. Five stamps depict characters in the "real" world, set against a red background, while the other five represent the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down, with a blue background. Each vertical pair of stamps corresponds to a specific season, starting with Season 1 on the left. The remaining four stamps are part of a miniature sheet featuring the core group of friends—Lucas, Will, Mike, and Dustin—riding their bicycles in a scene reminiscent of the 1980s setting of the show.
British artist Kyle Lambert, who designed the posters for every season of Stranger Things, created the illustrations for the stamps. Lambert's artwork has been a major part of the show's visual identity, appearing on billboards, merchandise, and advertising campaigns worldwide.
Adding a unique twist, the stamps contain hidden details that can only be revealed with a UV light. When exposed to UV light, logos from the series, such as the Hellfire Club and Scoops Ahoy, become visible on the stamps. Even the font used for the "1ST" value on the stamps mirrors the show's typeface.
David Gold, Director of External Affairs & Policy at Royal Mail, expressed his enthusiasm for the collection, stating that each design captures the essence of the series, from its unforgettable characters to the eerie imagery that has captivated audiences globally. He added that the collection is a true tribute to one of modern television's most popular shows.
The stamps and related collectible products are available for pre-order and went on general sale starting January 13. A presentation pack containing all 14 stamps is priced at £24.70. The release has already generated buzz among fans, with many eager to own a piece of Stranger Things history.
Stranger Things, set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, first premiered in 2016 and quickly gained a large following. The series, which stars Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour, blends elements of horror, science fiction, mystery, and coming-of-age drama. The final series, launched in November 2025, concluded with a two-hour finale titled "Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up".
