Sebastian Stan Eyes Gotham: Potential Role Alongside Robert Pattinson in 'The Batman Part II'

Sebastian Stan, known for his role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Matt Reeves' "The Batman Part II". This potential move would see Stan joining Robert Pattinson, who is reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The highly anticipated sequel is slated to begin filming in the spring and is expected to hit theaters on October 1, 2027.

While the specifics of Stan's role remain unknown, there is speculation that he might be playing Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. This casting would reunite Stan with fellow Marvel star Scarlett Johansson, who is also reportedly joining the cast. Johansson's role is also under wraps, but some reports suggest she may be playing Mrs. Dent, also known as Gilda Gold.

Several other actors are expected to return from the original 2022 film, including Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb/Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. However, Zoë Kravitz is not expected to reprise her role as Catwoman. Barry Keoghan is also expected to return as the Joker.

"The Batman Part II" is co-written by Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin. The film is being produced by DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, as well as Dylan Clark. The original "The Batman" was a box office success, grossing over $770 million worldwide.

Sebastian Stan recently earned an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Donald Trump in "The Apprentice". He has also starred in films such as "Black Swan," "The Martian," "Logan Lucky," and "Dumb Money". Stan is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel film "Avengers: Doomsday".

The first film in the series had Greig Fraser as cinematographer; however, Erik Messerschmidt will be taking over this role for the sequel.
