New Zealand claws back a win against India's untested squad: A thrilling cricket contest.

Visakhapatnam, India - New Zealand secured a 50-run victory against India in the fourth T20I at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. This win marks a comeback for the Black Caps, who had already lost the five-match series to India.

New Zealand, after being invited to bat first, posted a total of 215/7. Tim Seifert led the charge with 62 runs off 36 balls, supported by Devon Conway's 44 off 23. The opening pair achieved a century stand in just 8.2 overs, providing a strong foundation for the innings. India managed to regain some control in the latter half of the innings, with Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav taking two wickets each. Daryl Mitchell's late surge, scoring 39 off 18 balls, helped New Zealand surpass the 200-run mark.

In response, India was bowled out for 165 in 18.4 overs. The chase began poorly with Abhishek Sharma dismissed on the first ball. Despite Shivam Dube's impressive 65 off 23 balls, which included a 15-ball half-century, India struggled to build momentum. Dube's innings offered a glimmer of hope, but the early wickets and a subsequent run-out hampered India's chances.

The New Zealand bowlers maintained pressure throughout the Indian innings. Mitchell Santner was particularly effective, claiming three wickets. Jacob Duffy also contributed, taking the crucial wicket of Kuldeep Yadav to seal the victory.

India had already won the series prior to this match. India won the first three T20I matches to take a 3-0 lead in the series. Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first. Ishan Kishan was absent due to a minor injury, leading to Arshdeep Singh's return to the playing XI. New Zealand made one change to their lineup, with Zakary Foulkes replacing Kyle Jamieson.

Tim Seifert was named Player of the Match for his explosive innings. Mitchell Santner acknowledged the significance of the Powerplay and that their start mirrored India's approach throughout the series.

The fifth and final T20I is scheduled for Saturday in Thiruvananthapuram. Both teams are expected to use the match as preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Sanju Samson, whose recent performances have been underwhelming, will be under pressure to perform.
