iQOO 15 India launch confirmed: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and details revealed.

The iQOO 15 is confirmed to launch in India with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya recently teased the arrival of the iQOO 15 on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that the handset will run on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

Expected Features and Specifications:

  • Processor: The iQOO 15 will be among the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This chipset features a 2+6 core setup, with prime cores clocked at 4.6GHz and performance cores at 3.62GHz. The device may also integrate iQOO's in-house Q3 gaming chipset for enhanced gaming and multitasking performance.
  • Display: The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO Samsung "Everest" display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display may offer a peak local brightness of 6,000 nits, a full-screen brightness of 2,600 nits, and a rapid 3,200Hz touch response rate. Some reports suggest the display will be a Samsung AMOLED screen that supports a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
  • RAM and Storage: The iQOO 15 is expected to come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
