OnePlus is gearing up for the imminent launch of its latest flagship, the OnePlus 15, in India. This anticipation has been further fueled by the appearance of dedicated microsites for the device on both Amazon India and the official OnePlus website. These microsites typically precede a launch, signaling that the release is just around the corner.
While OnePlus has officially scheduled the launch of the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus Ace 6 in China on October 27, 2025, the exact launch date in India remains under wraps. However, the appearance of the teaser page hints at "something special" taking place on October 29, suggesting that the Indian announcement may closely follow the China launch. Industry analysts predict that the India launch will occur in late October or early November. Some reports suggest a global launch, possibly including India, on November 13, 2025.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to be a premium smartphone, placing it in direct competition with high-end devices from Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi. The price for the base variant in India is estimated to be between ₹65,000 and ₹75,000. A top-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage could exceed ₹80,000.
Confirmed and rumored specifications point to a powerful and feature-rich device. The OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It is expected to come with up to 16GB of RAM and offer storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and even a massive 1TB.
The display is rumored to be a 6.78-inch BOE X3 AMOLED with a 1.5K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 165Hz. This display is expected to offer Dolby Vision and Pro XDR support, boasting a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels.
Early images and teasers suggest a sleek, minimalist design. The phone may feature a metal frame with a micro-arc oxidation finish for enhanced scratch and dent resistance. A "Sand Storm" color option is expected, alongside Absolute Black and Misty Purple. There are also rumors of a fiberglass back panel for a lightweight but strong feel. Leaks indicate the device will be slightly thinner than its predecessor, measuring 8.1mm in thickness, and weigh between 211 and 215 grams.
Other anticipated features include a redesigned camera bump, a customizable "Plus Key" shortcut button, dual speakers, a large vibration motor, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, upgraded cooling, multi-function NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port. The device is also expected to house a large 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
The OnePlus 15 will likely launch with OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16. This new OS is expected to include AI-powered features such as AI Detail Boost, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Eraser, and AI Notes.
Alongside the OnePlus 15, the OnePlus 15R is also expected to launch in India. The 15R may be a modified version of the OnePlus Ace 6 with improved cameras.
