Director Sujeeth Clears the Air: No Conflicts with 'OG' Producer Danayya, Despite Rumors.

Hyderabad, October 21, 2025 – Director Sujeeth has addressed recent rumors of a rift between himself and DVV Danayya, the producer of the blockbuster action thriller "They Call Him OG," starring Pawan Kalyan. Social media had been abuzz with speculation that all was not well between the director and producer.

The rumors suggested that Sujeeth had to spend a significant portion of his own remuneration, reportedly ₹6 crore, to complete the film due to delays. It was also speculated that a planned collaboration between Sujeeth and Danayya for a future project with actor Nani had fallen through, further fueling the rumors.

However, Sujeeth has now refuted these claims, issuing an official statement on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) account. In his statement, Sujeeth thanked Danayya for his unwavering support and belief throughout the making of "They Call Him OG".

"A lot is being said, but very few truly understand what it takes to carry a film from start to finish," Sujeeth stated. "The belief and strength my producer and team showed for 'OG' can't be put into words. That's what gives this film its strength today."

He acknowledged the challenges faced during the film's production but emphasized the commitment of the entire team. "It hasn't been easy for anyone, but every bit of effort came from a place of commitment. Let's keep the process respected," he added.

Sujeeth also expressed his gratitude to the fans for their love and support for Pawan Kalyan and "They Call Him OG". He specifically thanked "Danayya garu" for his "constant support and belief".

Prior to the film's release, Sujeeth had also penned a thank-you note expressing his gratitude to Danayya and Kalyan Dasari for their support and trust throughout the journey. He acknowledged their role as pillars of strength during the film's production.

"They Call Him OG," which features an ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy, has been a massive success, grossing ₹300 crore worldwide. The film, produced under the DVV Entertainment banner (also behind "RRR"), was hailed as one of the biggest cinematic events of 2025. "OG" has set the record for the biggest opening day in India for 2025. It is also reportedly Pawan Kalyan's highest-grossing film. The film is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

With his recent statement, Sujeeth aims to put an end to the speculation and highlight the teamwork, trust, and dedication that went into making "They Call Him OG" a success.
