Samsung has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy F56 5G, in India. The device aims to offer a blend of stylish design and future-ready technology, targeting young consumers.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G is priced at INR 25,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs INR 28,999. These are introductory prices and include a bank discount of INR 2,000. The phone is available in Green and Violet colors. Samsung is also offering EMI options starting at INR 1,556 per month through Samsung Finance+ and other leading NBFC partners.
Design and Display
The Galaxy F56 5G is the slimmest in the F-series, measuring just 7.2mm in thickness. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back. The screen also incorporates Vision Booster technology.
Hardware and Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy F56 5G is powered by an Exynos 1480 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It comes with either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, expandable via microSD. The phone also features a vapor cooling chamber for heat dissipation.
Camera
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization). There's also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera is 12MP with HDR support. The camera setup supports AI-powered features like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions. Both front and rear cameras can record 4K videos at 30fps in 10-bit HDR. The rear camera offers 2x zoom.
Software and Updates
The Galaxy F56 5G runs on Android 15 with Samsung's One UI 7 out of the box. Samsung promises six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the phone. One UI 7 features a redesigned user interface with smoother animations, revamped app icons, and more customization options. It also includes the Now Bar, which provides real-time updates on the lock screen.
Battery and Other Features
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. However, a charger is not included in the box. The phone supports Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay functionality and features Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security. It is also rated IP65 for dust and water resistance.
