Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation regarding the recent Operation Sindoor, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has voiced his strong support for the Indian Armed Forces. Bachchan's commendation comes in the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, following the terror attack in Pahalgam and the subsequent retaliatory operation by the Indian military.

Bachchan, known for his active presence on social media, shared his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), posting a poem dedicated to the courage and resilience of the Indian soldiers. The poem served as a message of encouragement to the army, urging them to remain steadfast and unwavering in their commitment to defending the nation. In his post, Bachchan wrote "Jai Hind, Jai Hind ki Sena".

Prior to this, Bachchan had maintained a silence on social media, with his last post dating back to April 22, just before the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of many innocent tourists. The attack, which saw terrorists brutally targeting civilians, evoked widespread condemnation and calls for strong action.

In response to the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, a military operation targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi, in his address to the nation, asserted that this operation was a testament to India's resolve to combat terrorism and protect its citizens. He stated that India had given full freedom to the armed forces to wipe out terrorists and that the world witnessed India's resolve turn into action. Modi also dedicated the valour, bravery, and courage of the armed forces to every mother, sister, and daughter of the country.

Bachchan's tribute to the Indian Army also included a reference to a poignant line from a poem by his late father, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Reflecting on the emotional toll of the Pahalgam attack, Bachchan invoked the poem's imagery to convey the sense of loss and the need for justice. He further emphasized his support by stating, "De diya sindoor, OPERATION SINDOOR!!!".

Furthermore, Bachchan expressed his admiration for the armed forces by quoting lines from his father's iconic poem "Agneepath," reinforcing the message of unwavering commitment and resilience. He urged the soldiers to never hesitate, never retreat, and never surrender, emphasizing the importance of their oath to the nation.

The veteran actor also described the horrific scene in Pahalgam, writing about the terrorists and the innocent couple that was attacked. He highlighted the cultural significance of 'Sindoor' and lauded PM Modi's response to the terror.

Amitabh Bachchan's expression of support for the Indian Armed Forces and his praise for Operation Sindoor reflect the sentiments of a nation united in its resolve to stand against terrorism and protect its sovereignty.
