Pala Suresh, a 53-year-old mimicry artist and actor from Kerala, was found dead at his residence in Piravom on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was discovered after family members grew concerned when he did not wake up at his usual time. After receiving no response to repeated calls, they forced open the door to his room and found him unresponsive. He was immediately taken to Piravom Taluk Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. Initial assessments suggest that he may have suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep.

Suresh was being treated for a heart-related ailment at Kottayam Medical College Hospital. He lived with his family in a rented house near Thekkummoottilpadi, Piravom. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, at the Kanittumala crematorium in Piravom.

Pala Suresh was a prominent figure in the Kerala mimicry scene for over three decades. He gained recognition through stage shows and television programs, becoming a household name. He was particularly known for his impressions of political figures, including former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. His talent extended to Malayalam films, television serials, and comedy shows.

He appeared in the 2013 film ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, where he played a journalist alongside Dulquer Salmaan. The film was directed by Martin Prakkat and featured actors such as Tovino Thomas, Lalu Alex, Vijayaraghavan, and Kalpana. Suresh was also associated with mimicry troupes like Kollam Narma and Cochin Rasika. He had performed extensively in stage shows and mega-events, both in India and abroad.

Kannan Sagar, a fellow mimicry artist, expressed his condolences, recalling Suresh Krishna's skill in playing strings during mimicry performances.

Pala Suresh is survived by his wife, Deepa, and their two children, Devanandu, a nursing student in Germany, and Devakrishna. He was the son of the late Balan and Omana of the Vettathukunnel family in Vellilappilly, Ramapuram.
