Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has lauded his team's consistent attacking prowess, even amidst the natural fluctuations of a match. This praise follows Bayern's recent 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the Club World Cup final.

Kompany highlighted the team's ability to maintain a threatening presence throughout the game. He emphasized that Bayern remained dangerous both in possession and during defensive transitions, always posing a counter-attacking threat. According to Kompany, this constant danger kept Flamengo under pressure and ultimately contributed to Bayern's victory.

"I think the key part of the game for me, which always remains a key part of the game, is we always stayed dangerous," Kompany told reporters. "I think if we had the ball we were always dangerous. But even when we defended, then on the counter in the moments we looked like a team that could score at any time," he added.

Despite Bayern twice establishing a two-goal lead, Flamengo managed to close the gap on both occasions, keeping the game alive. Kompany acknowledged Flamengo's resilience but was particularly pleased with his team's composure and ability to regain control. He noted the importance of staying calm and scoring goals at crucial moments to alleviate pressure, especially when playing against teams with strong fan support.

Kompany believes that the ability to regain control of a game when the opponent has momentum is a difficult skill to teach. He emphasized the importance of experience and communication in these situations, noting that players must take responsibility and avoid losing the game within a short period due to mistakes or penalties. "And the main thing is you have to stay calm. It's something that the players did, it's the experience as well, but it's also something we talk about," Kompany said. "We can't lose the game in five minutes because we had a bad period or because we considered it was a silly penalty".

Flamengo coach Filipe Luis echoed Kompany's sentiments, admitting that his team was constantly under pressure from Bayern's relentless attacks. He acknowledged the immense pressure Bayern applied, with waves of players attacking, and conceded that Bayern deserved the victory. "The pressure they put on you is immense. They come at you with eight, 10 players. They deserved to win," Luis said. He also noted that while Flamengo's plan created scoring opportunities, they were ultimately outmatched by a superior team. "Our plan did work and we were able to apply pressure and create goal-scoring opportunities, but they were better than us, we're playing against the football elite," he said.

This praise from Kompany isn't new. Back in April, after a 4-0 win against Heidenheim, Kompany praised his team's "complete" performance, which took them closer to the Bundesliga title. He was particularly impressed with how quickly the team bounced back after being knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals.
