In an interview, Kareena revealed that Jeh views Saif as a real-life superhero, equating him to Batman and Iron Man. This perception stems from Jeh witnessing his father's resilience and bravery in the face of the attack.

The stabbing incident, which took place at their Bandra residence on January 16, 2025, involved an intruder who broke into the house. Saif confronted the intruder in what he believed to be Jeh's room, leading to a physical altercation where Saif sustained multiple stab wounds. Kareena, who was out for dinner that night, returned home to a chaotic scene.

In the aftermath of the attack, the family had different reactions. Saif recalled Taimur, his elder son, being concerned about whether he would survive. Taimur even accompanied his father to the hospital, finding comfort in being there for him. Jeh, on the other hand, seems to have developed a heroic image of his father. According to Saif, Jeh gave him a plastic sword and told him to keep it by his bed for the next time a "chor" (thief) comes. He also said, "Geeta saved Abba and Abba saved me".

Kareena has acknowledged the impact of the incident on her children, expressing her hope that it will instill resilience in them. She also admitted to struggling with anxiety and fear in the months following the attack. However, she emphasized the importance of not transferring her stress onto her children and focusing on maintaining a sense of normalcy.

He recounted how his kurta was soaked in blood and how Kareena frantically made calls to find transportation to the hospital. He also shared how he managed to fight off the intruder with the help of their househelp, Geeta.
