The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2025, revealing the top-performing candidates from across the country. This year's results showcase an impressive performance by female candidates, with two girls securing positions among the top three rankers. A Delhi boy has also bagged the second position, highlighting the diverse talent pool that appeared for the examination.
The CUET-UG 2025, conducted from May 13 to June 3, 2025, served as a gateway for admissions to various undergraduate programs in central, state, and deemed universities throughout India. The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 379 examination cities, including 26 cities outside India. This year, a total of 13,54,699 candidates registered for the exam, with 10,71,735 actually appearing.
Notably, the NTA has taken a different approach this year by listing the application numbers of candidates with the highest NTA scores in five subjects instead of declaring an official list of CUET-UG 2025 toppers. According to the NTA, one candidate with application number 253510212904 achieved the top score with an aggregate of 1225.93 out of 5 subjects. Furthermore, only one candidate managed to score a perfect 100 percentile in four out of five subjects. In addition, 17 candidates scored 100 percentile in three subjects, 150 candidates scored 100 percentile in two subjects, and 2,679 candidates secured 100 percentile in one subject.
While the NTA has not released an official toppers list with names, sources indicate that the top positions are held by two female candidates and a male candidate from Delhi. These candidates have demonstrated exceptional performance and are expected to secure admissions into their desired undergraduate programs at top universities like Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
The CUET-UG 2025 results are now available on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can access their scorecards by logging in with their credentials. The scorecard contains the candidate's details, subject-wise scores, and percentile. The NTA has advised candidates to stay in touch with their respective universities and institutions for further details regarding the admission process.
The CUET-UG exam plays a vital role in standardizing the admission process for undergraduate programs across various universities in India. With the declaration of results, candidates who scored above the 90th percentile can now participate in the admission process for top universities. These universities will release their cut-off lists and conduct counseling sessions to select candidates based on their CUET-UG scores and other eligibility criteria.
