Vijay Antony's 25th film, Shakthi Thirumagan, is set to release in theaters worldwide on September 5, 2025. Directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman, known for his work in Aruvi and Vaazhl, the film is a neo-political thriller where Vijay Antony plays the role of a scammer named Kittu.

Shakthi Thirumagan will also be released in Telugu under the title Bhadrakali. Initially, the Telugu version was planned to be titled Parasakthi, but this was changed to avoid legal issues with Dawn Pictures, the producer of Sivakarthikeyan's Madharasi. Consequently, Shakthi Thirumagan will clash with Madharasi at the box office. The film is also expected to have Malayalam and Hindi dubbed versions.

The film's first look, released earlier this year, features Vijay Antony sitting with a gun, positioned between the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly building and a temple, hinting at legal and religious elements within the storyline. A teaser trailer released in March 2025 suggests a gripping plot involving a child's birth that escalates into a national scam. The teaser reveals Vijay Antony as 'Kittu', the mastermind behind a Rs 6,000 crore scam.

Besides acting, Vijay Antony is also producing the film under his banner, Vijay Antony Film Corporation, and composing the music. The film also marks the return of actor Kannan, known for his role in the 1982 film Kadhal Oviyam. The cast includes Trupthi Ravindra, Sunil Kriplani, Vaagai Chandrasekar, Master Keshav, and Cell Murugan. Shelley Calist is the cinematographer, and Raymond Derrick Crasta is the editor, both reuniting with director Arun Prabu after their collaboration on Vaazhl.

Shakthi Thirumagan is written and directed by Arun Prabu. The film is produced by Fathima Vijay Antony and Vijay Antony. The ensemble cast includes Vijay Antony and Vagai Chandrasekhar in the lead roles.

Vijay Antony's recent projects include Maargan, a crime thriller that was released on June 27, 2025, and received positive reviews. He is also involved in other upcoming films such as Valli Mayil, Lawyer, and Hitler.
