On Monday, July 14, 2025, two schools in Delhi, including Navy Children School in Chanakyapuri and CRPF Public School in Dwarka, received bomb threats, prompting immediate search operations. The Delhi Police were alerted and swiftly deployed search teams, bomb disposal squads, and dog units to the locations.
The bomb threats were reportedly sent to the schools via email. Authorities initiated thorough searches of the school premises to ensure the safety of students and staff. As of now, no suspicious objects have been found.
Delhi Police PRO Sanjay Tyagi stated that the police are actively trying to locate the source of the emails and assured the public that every effort would be made to ensure the security of the children and the schools.
This incident follows a series of similar bomb threats in Delhi-NCR schools. Earlier this year, Shiv Nadar School in Noida and Alcon School in Delhi received bomb threats via email, leading to the schools sending students home as a precaution. In another instance, a bomb threat to Ahlcon International School in Delhi was found to be a hoax. Investigations revealed that a Class 9 student sent bomb threats to schools in Noida to avoid attending school.
In light of the repeated threats, the Delhi High Court directed the government to establish a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for handling bomb threats. In a similar incident, over 40 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email, demanding a ransom of $30,000.
