John Abraham and his wife, Priya Runchal, have been married since 2014. While they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in June 2024, they have not yet started a family. In an old interview, John addressed the reasons behind their decision to not have children.

John has stated that he is currently focused on his professional commitments. He is involved with his football team, Northeast United FC, his production house, and his acting career. He feels that he needs to have his professional "systems right" before he can focus elsewhere.

John has said that Priya brings a lot of maturity, sanity, and stability to their relationship. He appreciates that she is not interested in hogging the limelight and prefers to work behind the scenes. Priya is an investment banker and also the chairperson of NorthEast United FC.

In the past, John was in a long-term relationship with actress Bipasha Basu. They were considered a "supercouple" in the Indian media. However, they broke up in 2011. John met Priya in Mumbai in December 2010. They married on January 3, 2014.

While John and Priya are not currently planning to have children, they seem happy with their life together. They are pet parents and recently celebrated a decade of marital bliss.
