Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Following the meeting, Pathak described it as "cordial and constructive," noting that he received "valuable guidance on various important matters related to the prosperity and development of the state".

Pathak conveyed his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude to Amit Shah for providing his valuable time and guidance. He described Shah as an inspiration to millions of workers.

The meeting took place shortly after Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also met with Amit Shah.

This meeting comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh is focused on several key initiatives, including the preparations for the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Earlier in the year, Amit Shah visited Prayagraj to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other prominent figures. Pathak had expressed excitement about Shah's visit to Prayagraj, acknowledging Shah's inspiration to the youth and love for the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Brajesh Pathak has been actively involved in Uttar Pradesh's governance and has recently addressed various issues. He criticized Samajwadi Party MLA Mehrotra for comparing the BJP to terrorists following a government directive regarding the display of shop names along the Kanwar Yatra routes. Pathak defended the directive, emphasizing that the Samajwadi Party leaders were making inappropriate statements about the Kanwar Yatra.
