Following the completion of his work on Ramayana, Yash has commenced shooting for his highly anticipated film, Toxic. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has begun its latest schedule in Mumbai. Yash is reportedly performing his own stunts in the movie.

Toxic is touted as an action thriller, set against the backdrop of the drug mafia. Recent reports indicate that the three-week Mumbai schedule will heavily focus on action sequences, with actors performing stunts without body doubles. Sources suggest that these sequences will include hand-to-hand combat. To ensure safety and proper execution, a team of 15 experts is assisting the actors with close-cut scenes. Action directors JJ Perry and Giorgi Iarajuli have incorporated elements of Krav Maga, Filipino Kali, and MMA techniques to create a raw and brutal action style. The actors underwent intense training as part of their preparation for the film.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Akshay Oberoi. Yash suggested shifting the shoot location to Mumbai to accommodate Kiara Advani's travel schedule.

Earlier reports indicated that a significant portion of Toxic would be filmed in London, with approximately 150 out of 200 shooting days dedicated to locations in the UK. However, recent developments suggest an active shooting schedule in Mumbai. An expansive set, recreating the 1940s era, was constructed on the outskirts of Bengaluru, spanning 20 acres.

Yash's commitment to Toxic is evident not only in his on-screen performance but also in his role as a co-producer under his banner, Monster Mind Creations. The film is a joint production with KVN Productions.

The film is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Toxic explores the dark world of the Goa drug mafia.

JJ Perry, known for his work on films like John Wick, Django Unchained, and The Fate of the Furious, has lauded Toxic as a "banger" after wrapping up his work on the film. Perry expressed his pleasure working with Yash and praised the entire team. Yash, in turn, acknowledged Perry's contribution, describing it as "straight-up, raw power".

While Toxic was initially slated for release on April 10, 2025, it is now expected to release on March 19, 2026. The delay was attributed to production issues.

Prior to commencing Toxic, Yash confirmed his role as Raavan in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The Ramayana is planned as a two-part film, with a massive budget of over ₹4,000 crore. Part One is scheduled for release in Diwali 2026, followed by Part Two in Diwali 2027.
