The upcoming action thriller Toxic, slated for release in 2026, is generating buzz, with actors Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Akshay Oberoi reportedly performing their own stunts. Headlined by Yash, the pan-Indian film also features a commitment to authentic action, with all lead actors, including the female leads, performing their own stunts.

Sources close to the production have confirmed that Toxic is designed as a gritty, high-impact action film. The filmmakers have emphasized the need for raw and realistic action sequences, executed by the actors themselves under the guidance of a professional stunt and action team. The action in Toxic is expected to be brutal, slick, and grounded, with every actor fully committed.

Akshay Oberoi, known for his physically demanding roles, has been undergoing rigorous action training for months. Yash, known for redefining mass action cinema, is also performing his stunts, promising a visceral visual experience for the audience. Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi are also committed to tackling strenuous stunt sequences, redefining the action star norm for women in Indian cinema. Sources indicate that Tara and Huma are dominating the action scenes, stunning everyone on set with their training and execution.

A source from the production stated that Akshay Oberoi and Yash are performing major action set-pieces without doubles. The source further added that Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi have shocked everyone on set with their dedication to training and pulling off full-fledged stunts.

The film's shooting schedule commenced in Mumbai, with a three-week schedule primarily focused on action sequences. These sequences, largely shot indoors at Film City in Goregaon, may include hand-to-hand combat. A team of 15 experts has been assembled for safety and execution, assisting the actors with close-cut scenes. Action directors JJ Perry and Giorgi Iarajuli have blended elements of Krav Maga, Filipino Kali, and MMA techniques to create a gritty style of action for the hand-to-hand combat sequences.

With adrenaline-fueled action sequences, strong performances, and a cast committed to performing their own stunts, Toxic aims to revolutionize action cinema in India. The film is slated to be released on March 19, 2026.
